24:21-16 Form of label on containers of manufacturers and wholesalers; altering or removing label. 16. Form of label on containers of manufacturers and wholesalers; altering or removing label. Whenever a manufacturer sells or dispenses a controlled dangerous substance in a package prepared by him, he shall securely affix to each package in which that substance is contained a label showing in legible English the name and address of the vendor and the quantity, kind and form of the substance contained therein. Whenever a wholesaler sells or dispenses a controlled dangerous substance in any package or shipping container other than the package in which received from the manufacturer, he shall securely affix to such package a label showing in legible English his name and address. No person except a pharmacist for the purpose of filling a prescription under this act, shall alter, deface or remove any label so affixed by the manufacturer. L.1970,c.226,s.16.
