18A:65-53. Supplemental appropriations by counties or municipalities In all cases where agricultural extension, home demonstration or boys' and girls' club work receives, or shall receive, funds or aid from the federal government or the state government, the board of chosen freeholders of any county or the governing body of any municipality may appropriate such sums of money as shall seem to it just and proper, to be expended in the county or municipality making such appropriation under the direction of the corporation in the New Jersey agricultural experiment station, for the purpose of promoting or carrying out such agricultural extension, home demonstration or boys' and girls' club work. Appropriations made by any county or municipality shall be used only in such county or municipality in addition to the funds appropriated by the federal government or the state government in furtherance of the projects contemplated by this section.
