18A:64G-38 Qualifications for fellowship applicants. 4. A fellowship applicant shall: a. Be a graduate of a medical school approved by the State Board of Medical Examiners for the purpose of licensure and receive a recommendation from the school's medical staff concerning participation in the program in the case of a physician, or be a graduate of a dental school approved by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry for the purpose of licensure and receive a recommendation from the school's dental staff concerning participation in the program in the case of a dentist; b. In the case of a physician, have completed a professional residency training program and have received a recommendation from the medical staff of the residency training program concerning participation in the program established pursuant to this act; and c. Agree to provide medical or dental care to persons with developmental disabilities, as appropriate, in the State following completion of the fellowship for a time period equal to the length of the applicant's fellowship training.
