17:15C-26 Presumptions regarding licensees, delegates; service of process. 26. a. Any licensee, authorized delegate or other person who engages in business activities that are regulated under this act, with or without filing an application, is deemed to have done both of the following: (1) Consented to the jurisdiction of the courts of this State for all actions arising under this act; and (2) Appointed the commissioner as his lawful agent for the purpose of accepting service of process in any action, suit or proceeding that may arise under this act. b. Within three business days after service of process upon the commissioner, the commissioner shall transmit by certified mail copies of all lawful process accepted by the commissioner as an agent to that person at its last known address. Service of process shall be considered complete three business days after the commissioner deposits copies of the documents in the United States mail. L.1998,c.14,s.26.
