New Hampshire Code § 508:16

Directors and Officers of Charitable Organizations or Societies; Liability Limited

I. For the purposes of this section: (a) "Director" means a person who serves without compensation on the board of trustees or board of directors of a charitable organization or society organized or incorporated in this state or having a principal place of business in this state. (b) "Officer" means a person who serves without compensation as an officer of such an organization or society. (c) "Compensation" does not include reimbursement for expenses actually incurred. (d) "Charitable organization or society" means an organization or society which is "charitable" as defined in RSA 72:23- l. II. Directors and officers shall not be liable for damages for bodily injury, personal injury, or property damage if the claim for such damages arises from an act committed in good faith and without willful or wanton negligence in the course of an activity carried on to accomplish the charitable purposes of the organization or society.
