New Hampshire Code § 4-A:2

Definitions

In this chapter, "governor-elect" means the person who is the apparent successful candidate for the office of governor, as ascertained by the secretary of state following the general election. The term governor-elect shall apply to such candidate from the day of election certification by the secretary of state until the day of his inauguration.
