I. Nothing in this chapter shall create any cause of action on behalf of any homeowner or contractor. II. This chapter shall not apply to a contractor's right to seek contribution, indemnity, or recovery against a subcontractor, supplier, or design professional for any claim made against a contractor by a homeowner. III. This chapter shall not apply to a claim brought by a person or entity subrogated to the rights of a homeowner on account of a payment made under an insurance policy. IV. Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit a homeowner from taking such actions as necessary to prevent unsafe conditions or further deterioration of a residence.
