Purpose; Scope of Practice

I. The purpose of this subdivision is to assure that a home inspector performs professional services only when the home inspector is qualified by education and training in the specific technical areas involved. II. The scope of practice of home inspectors shall consist of knowledge and skill in the following areas of residential construction: heating systems, cooling systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, structural components, foundations, roofs, exterior and interior components, and site aspects as they affect buildings.
