New Hampshire Code § 230:49-a

Replacement or New Signs

Whenever the commissioner of transportation authorizes the replacement of an existing highway sign or the installation of a new highway sign which designates that a city or town lies ahead, that sign shall also state the distance in miles from the sign to the city or town limits that the motorist will first approach.
