New Hampshire Code § 227-J:12

Mill Logs; Penalty

I. No person shall knowingly cut out or alter the mark of any mill log, or cut into any lumber or log belonging to another person, without the permission of the owner or the owner's agent. II. In addition to any other civil or criminal penalty allowed by law, any person who violates the provisions of paragraph I shall forfeit to the person injured 10 times the market value of every such mill log or lumber, cut or altered.
