Cursive Handwriting and Memorization of Multiplication Tables

Each public school district and chartered public school shall: (a) Provide instruction in cursive writing by the end of fifth grade as a component of English language arts; and (b) Provide instruction of the multiplication tables by the end of fifth grade; and (c) Subparagraphs (a) and (b) may be accommodated, modified, or waived in accordance with a student's Individual Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan.
