Nevada Code § 706.8838

Conditions which limit operation of taxicab

A certificate holder shall not permit a
taxicab to be operated in passenger service for a period of more than 24 hours
unless it meets all of the following standards:
1. The vehicle is structurally sound and
operates with a minimum of noise and vibration.
2. The vehicle does not have cracked,
broken or badly dented fenders and is painted so as to provide reasonable
protection against structural deterioration.
3. The vehicle does not have shades or
curtains which can be manipulated to shield the occupants or driver from
exterior observation or to obstruct vision through the rearview windows.
4. The vehicle is washed once a week, the
interior is swept, dusted and vacuumed once a day and the vehicle is in a clean
and sanitary condition.
5. The floor mat is made of rubber or a
similar nonabsorbent, washable material, is easily removable and is not torn.
