Certain common carriers of property required to obtain written approval from Department; permits required to be obtained from Department to transport radioactive waste

1. A common carrier of property, other
than a carrier of household goods or an operator of a tow car, shall not
operate as a carrier in intrastate commerce without first obtaining written
approval from the Department.
2. In addition to obtaining written
approval pursuant to subsection 1, a carrier seeking to transport radioactive
waste shall also obtain from the Department the specific permits that are
otherwise required to transport such waste.
