1. A public administrator, deputy designated by the public administrator or a person employed or contracted with pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as applicable, may submit a written request to a public utility for the name and address of a person listed in the records of the public utility if the information is necessary to assist the public administrator or a person employed or contracted with pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as applicable, in carrying out the public administrators or persons duties pursuant to chapter 253 of NRS. 2. Upon receipt of a written request pursuant to subsection 1, a public utility shall disclose the name and address of the person listed in the records of customers of the public utility to the public administrator, a deputy designated by the public administrator or a person employed or contracted with pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as applicable. 3. A disclosure made in good faith pursuant to subsection 1 does not give rise to any action for damages for the disclosure of the name and address of a customer by a public utility.
