Public utility required to provide name and address of person listed in records of utility upon request of public administrator or deputy or certain other persons performing duties of public administrator; immunity for disclosure made in good faith

1. A public administrator, deputy
designated by the public administrator or a person employed or contracted with
pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as applicable,
may submit a written request to a public utility for the name and address of a
person listed in the records of the public utility if the information is
necessary to assist the public administrator or a person employed or contracted
with pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as
applicable, in carrying out the public administrators or persons duties
pursuant to chapter 253 of NRS.
2. Upon receipt of a written request
pursuant to subsection 1, a public utility shall disclose the name and address
of the person listed in the records of customers of the public utility to the
public administrator, a deputy designated by the public administrator or a
person employed or contracted with pursuant to NRS 253.125 , as applicable.
3. A disclosure made in good faith
pursuant to subsection 1 does not give rise to any action for damages for the
disclosure of the name and address of a customer by a public utility.
