Nevada Code § 656.180

Court reporters: Qualifications of applicant

An applicant for a certificate of registration
as a certified court reporter is entitled to a certificate if the applicant:
1. Is at least 18 years of age;
2. Is of good moral character;
3. Has not been convicted of a felony
relating to the practice of court reporting;
4. Has a high school education or its
equivalent;
5. Satisfactorily passes:
(a) An examination administered by the Board
pursuant to NRS 656.160 ; and
(b) One of the examinations described in
paragraph (b) of subsection 2 of NRS 656.170 ;
6. Pays the requisite fees; and
7. Submits all information required to
complete an application for a certificate of registration.
