Court reporters: Unlawful to practice without certificate

It is unlawful for any natural person to
practice court reporting or to advertise or use any identifying term that may
indicate to the public that the natural person is entitled to practice as a
court reporter unless the natural person holds a certificate of registration as
a certified court reporter issued by the Board.
