Internet pharmacy: Certification required; regulations; Board required to post on Internet site list of certified Internet pharmacies and related information

1. In addition to the requirements set
forth in this chapter and any other specific statute, an Internet pharmacy
located:
(a) Within this State, shall not fill or refill a
prescription or otherwise engage in the practice of pharmacy for a person
located within or outside this State unless the Internet pharmacy is certified
by the Board.
(b) Outside this State, shall not fill or refill
a prescription or otherwise engage in the practice of pharmacy for a person
located within this State unless the Internet pharmacy is certified by the
Board.
2. The Board shall adopt regulations prescribing
standards for certifying an Internet pharmacy. The standards adopted by the
Board may be based upon standards adopted by the National Association of Boards
of Pharmacy or some other association or organization that provides standards
for certifying an Internet pharmacy.
3. The Board shall post on a website or
other Internet site that is operated or administered by or on behalf of the
Board:
(a) A list of Internet pharmacies certified by
the Board; and
(b) Any other information relating to Internet
pharmacies that the Board deems relevant.
