Nevada Code § 633.466

Supervision of physician assistant who does not hold certain simultaneous license by physician licensed by Board of Medical Examiners; joint regulations

1. A physician assistant who does not hold
a simultaneous license to practice as a physician assistant pursuant to the
provisions of chapter 630 of NRS may be
supervised by a physician licensed to practice medicine in this State pursuant
to chapter 630 of NRS in place of his or her
supervising osteopathic physician if:
(a) The physician assistant works in a
geographical area where the physician assistant can be conveniently supervised
only by such a physician; and
(b) The supervising osteopathic physician and the
physician licensed pursuant to chapter 630 of
NRS agree to the arrangement.
2. A physician assistant so supervised is
not a physician assistant for the purposes of chapter
630 of NRS solely because of that supervision.
3. The State Board of Osteopathic Medicine
shall adopt jointly with the Board of Medical Examiners regulations necessary
to administer the provisions of this section.
