1. A supervising osteopathic anesthesiologist shall be immediately available in such proximity to an anesthesiologist assistant during the performance of his or her duties that the supervising osteopathic anesthesiologist is able to effectively reestablish direct contact with the patient to meet the medical needs of the patient and intervene to address any urgent or emergent clinical problems. 2. A supervising osteopathic anesthesiologist shall supervise an anesthesiologist assistant in a manner consistent with any applicable federal rule or regulation for reimbursement for anesthesia services.
