Interim permit; regulations

1. The Board may, after verifying that an
applicant meets the requirements of:
(a) NRS
632.140 , issue an interim permit authorizing the applicant to practice
professional nursing until the results of the examination required by NRS 632.150 are received.
(b) NRS
632.270 , issue an interim permit authorizing the applicant to practice as a
practical nurse until the results of the examination required by NRS 632.280 are received.
2. If the applicant does not pass the
examination, the interim permit expires upon notification by the Board. The
interim permit is not renewable.
3. The Board may adopt regulations for the
reexamination of an applicant who does not pass the examination.
