1. A dentist, dental therapist or dental hygienist that performs an initial dental examination, screening or assessment on a minor shall refer the minor or his or her parent or guardian to a dental home, which may include, without limitation, a virtual dental home, when appropriate. 2. As used in this section: (a) Dental home means an entity that arranges for the provision of oral health care that is continuously available and delivered in a comprehensive, coordinated and family-centered manner by a dentist licensed in this State. (b) Virtual dental home means a dental home that uses teams of persons licensed pursuant to chapter 631 of NRS who are connected to the patient and each other through teledentistry to provide comprehensive oral health care in a community setting.
