Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
1. Any person who has obtained from the
Board a license or certificate to practice dental hygiene, dental therapy,
dentistry or expanded function dental assistance in this State, and who fails
to obtain a renewal certificate, must, before resuming the practice in which he
or she was licensed, make application to the Secretary-Treasurer, under such
rules as the Board may prescribe, for the restoration of the license to
practice.
2. Upon application being made, the Secretary-Treasurer
shall determine whether the applicant possesses the qualifications prescribed
for the granting of a license to practice in his or her particular profession,
and whether the applicant continues to possess a good moral character and is not
otherwise disqualified to practice in this State. If the Secretary-Treasurer so
determines, the Secretary-Treasurer shall thereupon issue the license, and
thereafter the person may make application annually for a renewal certificate,
as provided in this chapter.
