1. An applicant for a license by endorsement as an expanded function dental assistant must include in his or her application proof that he or she: (a) Is currently licensed as an expanded function dental assistant in another state or territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia; (b) Possesses the following qualifications: (1) Graduation from an accredited program for dental assisting with expanded functions; or (2) Employment as a dental assistant or an expanded function dental assistant working full-time for at least 2 years or part-time for at least 4 years; and (c) Has passed a written examination given by the Board concerning laws and regulations governing the practice of expanded function dental assistance in this State. 2. The Board may require an applicant for licensure by endorsement as an expanded function dental assistant to complete any training that the Board deems necessary for the applicant to be able to practice expanded function dental assistance with the same degree of competence as a person who possesses the qualifications described in NRS 631.31286 .
