Teledentistry means the use of telehealth by a licensee described in subsection 1 of NRS 631.3458 who is located at a distant site to facilitate the diagnosis, treatment, education, care management and self-management of or consultation with a patient who is located at an originating site. The term includes, without limitation: 1. Real-time interactions between a patient at an originating site and a licensee at a distant site; 2. The asynchronous transmission of medical and dental information concerning a patient from an originating site to a licensee at a distant site; 3. Interaction between a licensee who is providing dental services to a patient at an originating site and another licensee at an originating site; and 4. Monitoring of a patient at an originating site by a licensee at a distant site.
