Temporary license

1. The Board may issue a temporary license
to practice as an anesthesiologist assistant to an applicant who:
(a) Graduated from an anesthesiologist assistant
program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health
Education Programs or its predecessor or successor organization or another
program for educating and training anesthesiologist assistants but who has not
yet passed the certification examination required by paragraph (b) of
subsection 1 of NRS 630.2683 ;
(b) Submits an application for temporary
licensure; and
(c) Pays the application fee required by NRS 630.268 .
2. An applicant for a temporary license to
practice as an anesthesiologist assistant submitted pursuant to this section
must include all the information required by the Board to complete the
application.
3. An applicant issued a temporary license
to practice as an anesthesiologist assistant pursuant to subsection 1 must take
the next available certification examination required by paragraph (b) of
subsection 1 of NRS 630.2683 after
receiving a temporary license.
4. A temporary license to practice as an
anesthesiologist assistant issued pursuant to subsection 1 is valid for a
period of 1 year and is subject to any requirements established by the
regulations adopted by the Board pursuant to NRS 630.26825 .
