Employment of children; compensation

1. Except as otherwise provided in this
section, the superintendent of a facility may arrange for the employment of
children on ranches, farms and in other private occupations during the summer
vacation months and for other periods which the superintendent deems proper for
the full utilization of the childrens time and productive capacities.
2. A child may not be compelled to accept
private employment against the childs desires.
3. For the purposes of this section, the
superintendent of a facility and the employer must determine the amount of
compensation the child must be paid and the working conditions of the child.
4. The superintendent of a facility may
determine whether the compensation paid to the child may be paid in whole or in
part to the child or to the superintendent for safekeeping as provided for in NRS 63.340 .
