County inspectors: Employment; compensation; license required; allocation of inspection fees

1. The board of county commissioners of
any county may employ one or more inspectors to assist in carrying out the
provisions of NRS 587.290 to 587.450 , inclusive, upon a salary or on a
per diem basis, for such a period as the board and the State Quarantine Officer
deem necessary, but no inspector may be so employed who is not licensed by the
State Quarantine Officer, who shall direct all of the inspectors official
activities.
2. Any inspector so employed by any county
shall collect all inspection fees fixed and established by the State Quarantine
Officer for any inspections and certifications performed by the inspector, and
promptly forward the fees to the State Quarantine Officer. The State Quarantine
Officer shall forward any portion of the fees due any federal agency to that
agency. Ten percent of the inspection fees collected must be remitted to the
Department for use as required by NRS
561.355 , and the balance must be reimbursed to the counties where the fees
were collected.
