Nevada Code § 548.430

Permissible provisions

1. The regulations to be adopted by the
Commission under the provisions of NRS
548.410 to 548.435 , inclusive, may
include:
(a) Provisions requiring the carrying out of
necessary engineering operations, including the construction of terraces,
terrace outlets, check dikes, dams, ponds, ditches and other necessary
structures.
(b) Provisions requiring observance of particular
methods of cultivation, including contour cultivating, contour furrowing,
lister furrowing, sowing, planting, strip cropping, seeding, and planting of
lands to water-conserving and erosion-preventing plants, trees and grasses,
forestation, and revegetation.
(c) Specifications of cropping programs and
tillage practices to be observed.
(d) Provisions requiring the retirement from
cultivation of highly erosive areas or of areas on which erosion may not be
adequately controlled if cultivation is carried on.
(e) Provisions for such other means, measures,
operations, and programs as may assist conservation of renewable natural
resources and prevent or control soil erosion and sedimentation in the
conservation district, having due regard to the legislative findings set forth
in NRS 548.095 to 548.113 , inclusive.
2. As used in this section, revegetation
has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS
528.097 .
