Unlawful interference with officer, agent or employee of district; criminal and civil penalties

1. Any person who wrongfully and
maliciously interferes with any officer, agent or employee of the district in
the proper discharge of his or her duties, is guilty of a public offense, as
prescribed in NRS 193.155 , proportionate
to the value of any property damaged or destroyed and in no event less than a
misdemeanor.
2. The irrigation district damaged by any
such act may also bring a civil action for damages sustained by any such act,
and in such proceeding the prevailing party is entitled to attorneys fees and
costs of court.
