1. Any person who wrongfully and maliciously interferes with any officer, agent or employee of the district in the proper discharge of his or her duties, is guilty of a public offense, as prescribed in NRS 193.155 , proportionate to the value of any property damaged or destroyed and in no event less than a misdemeanor. 2. The irrigation district damaged by any such act may also bring a civil action for damages sustained by any such act, and in such proceeding the prevailing party is entitled to attorneys fees and costs of court.
