Notice of filing of petition for annexation: Posting; contents; advancement of costs by petitioners

1. The secretary shall cause a notice of
the filing of such petition to be given for 3 consecutive weeks by posting in
five public and conspicuous places in the district, with at least one posting
in each division thereof.
2. The notice shall:
(a) State the filing of such petition.
(b) State the names of the petitioners.
(c) Contain a description of the lands mentioned
in the petition, sufficient to identify the same.
(d) Notify all persons interested in or who may
be affected by such change of boundaries of the district to appear at the
office of the board at a time named in the notice and show cause, in writing,
if any they have, why the lands mentioned should not be annexed to the
district.
3. The petitioner or petitioners shall advance
to the district treasurer sufficient money to pay the estimated cost of these
proceedings.
