Order calling election; qualifications of candidate for director

1. Upon making an order granting the
prayer of the petition as provided in NRS
539.043 , the board of county commissioners shall by further order entered
upon its record submit to the qualified electors of the proposed district at
the next primary or general election the question of whether that district
shall be organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, and by that
order shall submit the names of one or more persons from each of the divisions
of the district to be voted for as directors of the district.
2. One director must be elected from each
division by the qualified electors of the district and be a qualified elector
of the district and holder of title, or evidence of title as prescribed in NRS 539.020 and 539.023 , to land within the division from
which the director is elected.
3. A candidate for election to the office
of director must be registered to vote in the district from which the director
is elected.
