Colorado River Compact: Ratification by Nevada; waiver of provisions of first paragraph of Article XI

1. The provisions of the first paragraph
of Article XI of the Colorado River Compact, making the Compact effective when
it shall have been approved by the legislature of each of the signatory states,
are hereby waived and the Compact shall become binding and obligatory upon the
State of Nevada and upon the other signatory states which have ratified or may
ratify it after March 18, 1925, whenever at least six of the signatory states
shall have consented thereto and the Congress of the United States shall have
given its consent and approval.
2. This section shall be of no force or
effect until this or a similar resolution shall have been passed or adopted by
the legislatures of the States of California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico,
Utah and Wyoming.
3. Certified copies of this section shall be
prepared by the Secretary of State and forwarded by the Governor of the State
of Nevada to the President of the United States, the Secretary of State of the
United States, and the Governors of the States of Arizona, California,
Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
