Nevada Code § 5.010

General requirements for court; designation as court of record

There must be in each city a municipal court
presided over by a municipal judge. The municipal court:
1. Except as otherwise provided in subsections
4 and 5 of NRS 1.050 , must be held at
such place in the city within which it is established as the governing body of
that city may by ordinance direct.
2. May by ordinance be designated as a
court of record.
