Application; fee and required proof; expiration; use

1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 489.611 , any person who moves a
manufactured home, mobile home, manufactured building or commercial coach upon
any highway or road in this state shall, before that movement, apply to the
county assessor for a trip permit. The assessor of the county from which the
manufactured home, mobile home, manufactured building or commercial coach is to
be moved shall issue a trip permit for each section of the manufactured home,
mobile home, manufactured building or commercial coach upon application
presented in the form prescribed by the Division, payment of a fee of $5 for
each permit, and proof satisfactory to the assessor of ownership and that all
property taxes, for the full year in which the permit is to be used, and use
taxes if applicable, levied against the manufactured home, mobile home,
manufactured building or commercial coach and its contents have been paid.
2. The trip permit authorizes movement
over the highways and roads for not more than 5 consecutive working days
following the date of issuance and the application and permit respectively must
be used in lieu only of any certificate of registration and vehicle license
number plate required by law.
