Proof of completion of continuing education required for renewal of license of dealer, distributor, general serviceperson, specialty serviceperson, responsible managing employee or salesperson; waiver

1. Except as otherwise provided in
subsection 2, if a licensee is a dealer, distributor, general serviceperson,
specialty serviceperson, responsible managing employee or salesperson, the
Division shall not renew a license issued to that licensee until the licensee
has submitted proof satisfactory to the Division that the licensee has, during
the 2-year period immediately preceding the renewal of the license, completed
at least 8 hours of continuing education approved by the Division pursuant to NRS 489.285 .
2. The Administrator may waive the
requirement for continuing education set forth in subsection 1 for a licensee
who is a specialty serviceperson if:
(a) The licensee holds a license issued by the
State Contractors Board; and
(b) The Administrator determines that, based upon
the license described in paragraph (a) and the services provided by the
licensee, it is in the best interest of this State for the Administrator to
waive the requirement for continuing education for the licensee.
