Nevada Code § 487.840

Title: Removal or concealment of indicia of salvage vehicle or rebuilt vehicle prohibited; criminal penalties if violation committed with intent to defraud; restitution

1. A person shall not remove, cause to be
removed or conceal a marking on:
(a) A salvage title or other title which
indicates that the vehicle is a salvage vehicle; or
(b) A certificate of title or other title for a
rebuilt vehicle which indicates that the vehicle is a rebuilt vehicle.
2. A person who knowingly violates
subsection 1 with the intent to defraud:
(a) If the fair market value of the vehicle
involved is $650 or more, is guilty of a category D felony and shall be
punished as provided in NRS 193.130 .
(b) If the fair market value of the vehicle
involved is less than $650, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
In addition
to any other penalty, the court shall order the person to pay restitution to
the victim.
