1. The Director may request an undercover investigation of a person who is allegedly engaging in a deceptive trade practice or violating the provisions of NRS 487.6871 to 487.6897 , inclusive. 2. The Bureau of Consumer Protection in the Office of the Attorney General may conduct an undercover investigation of a person who is allegedly engaging in a deceptive trade practice or violating the provisions of NRS 487.6871 to 487.6897 , inclusive, on its own motion or upon a request received pursuant to subsection 1. Nothing in this subsection requires the Bureau to conduct an undercover investigation.
