Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
The
Legislature finds and declares that:
1. A need exists in this State for the
creation of a system of identification for:
(a) Residents who are 10 years of age or older
and who do not hold a valid drivers license or identification card from any
state or jurisdiction; and
(b) Seasonal residents who are 10 years of age or
older and who do not hold a valid Nevada drivers license.
2. To serve this purpose, official
identification cards must be prepared for issuance to those residents and
seasonal residents who are 10 years of age or older and who apply and qualify
for them. The cards must be designed in such form and distributed pursuant to
such controls that they will merit the general acceptability of drivers
licenses for personal identification.
