Nevada Code § 483.415

Additional fee; deposit in Highway and Safety Administrative Account; use of money

1. The Department of Motor Vehicles shall
charge and collect a fee of:
(a) Fifty cents, in addition to the fees set
forth in NRS 483.410 , for every drivers
license, including a motorcycle drivers license, issued or renewed which
expires on or before the fourth anniversary of the licensees birthday.
(b) One dollar, in addition to the fees set forth
in NRS 483.410 , for every drivers
license, including a motorcycle drivers license, issued or renewed which
expires on the eighth anniversary of the licensees birthday.
2. The Department of Motor Vehicles shall
deposit the money into the Highway and Safety Administrative Account which is
hereby created in the State Highway Fund. The money in the Account may be used
only by the Department of Transportation for:
(a) The support of the position of Motor Vehicle
Recovery and Transportation Planner created pursuant to NRS 408.234 ; and
(b) The support of the position of Highway Safety
Information and Outreach Coordinator created pursuant to NRS 408.228 , and to carry out the
provisions of that section.
