Designation of veteran status on license or permit; duties of Department

1. Upon the application of a person who
requests that his or her instruction permit or drivers license indicate that
he or she is a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States pursuant to
subsection 3 of NRS 483.292 , and who
satisfies the requirements of that subsection, the Department shall place on
any instruction permit or drivers license issued to the person pursuant to the
provisions of this chapter a designation that the person is a veteran.
2. The Director shall determine the design
and placement of the designation of veteran status required by subsection 1 on
any instruction permit or drivers license to which this section applies.
