Appointment of persons with special skills or training; category I peace officer defined

1. If circumstances require the
appointment of persons with special skills or training, the Chief of the
Investigation Division may appoint persons as investigators who have those
special skills or training and have completed the requirements for the training
of a category I peace officer. A person appointed as an investigator has the
powers of a peace officer while carrying out the duties assigned to him or her
by the Chief or a person designated by the Chief.
2. As used in this section, category I
peace officer has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 432B.610 .
