Regulations concerning registration of qualified interior designers who provide interior materials and furnishings regulated by building code; contents of regulations; eligibility

1. The State Fire Marshal shall, by
regulation, provide for the registration of qualified interior designers who
provide interior materials and furnishings regulated by a building code.
2. The regulations must set forth:
(a) The qualifications necessary for the issuance
of a certificate of registration pursuant to this section, including, without
limitation, the submission of evidence of the successful completion of a course
of study approved by the State Fire Marshal regarding applicable building codes
and other related information.
(b) The criteria for approving instructors and
courses of study regarding applicable building codes and other related
information.
(c) Any continuing education necessary for the
renewal of a certificate of registration issued pursuant to this section.
3. A person licensed or registered by the
State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design pursuant to chapter 623 of NRS is not eligible for the
issuance of a certificate of registration pursuant to this section.
