Nevada Code § 477.014

Appointment of special deputies; duties

A fire chief, fire marshal, police officer or
a person charged with the enforcement of building codes by a local government
may be appointed by the State Fire Marshal to serve as a Special Deputy State
Fire Marshal, without additional compensation. The Special Deputy State Fire
Marshal shall carry out the provisions of this chapter as directed by the State
Fire Marshal.
