Creation of election precincts; election of directors

1. Except as otherwise provided in
subsection 2, when, pursuant to the provisions of NRS 474.040 , 474.050 and 474.060 , the boundaries of the proposed
district are defined and established by the board, the board of county
commissioners shall make an order dividing the proposed district into three or
five divisions as nearly equal in size as practicable. The divisions must be
numbered consecutively and constitute election precincts for the district.
2. When or after the boundaries of a
district are established, the board of county commissioners may provide for the
election of three or five directors at large, without precincts.
3. If precincts are created, each director
must be:
(a) A resident of the election precinct for which
the director is elected;
(b) Registered to vote in the election precinct
for which the director is elected; and
(c) Elected at large by the district.
