1. Preliminary questions concerning the qualification of a person to be a witness, the existence of a privilege or the admissibility of evidence shall be determined by the judge, subject to the provisions of NRS 47.070 . 2. In making a determination the judge is not bound by the provisions of this title except the provisions of chapter 49 of NRS with respect to privileges.
