Powers of Board and Commission

The
Board and the Commission or any of its members has full power and authority:
1. To compel the production of any and all
books, memoranda, documents, papers and records showing the receipts and
disbursements of any person, corporation or association licensed under the
provisions of this chapter to conduct race meetings.
2. To summon witnesses before it and to
administer oaths or affirmations to witnesses whenever, in the judgment of the
Commission, it may be necessary for the effectual discharge of its duties.
3. To require, at any time, the removal of
any employee or official employed by any licensee under this chapter.
4. To require that the book and financial
or other statements of any person, corporation or association licensed under
the provisions of this chapter shall be kept in any manner which to the
Commission may seem best.
5. To visit, to investigate and to place
expert accountants and such other persons as it may deem necessary in the
offices, tracks or places of business of any person, corporation or association
licensed under the provisions of this chapter for the purpose of satisfying
itself that the regulations of the Commission are strictly complied with.
