Nevada Code § 463.040

Members: Qualifications and eligibility

1. Each member of the Board shall:
(a) Be a citizen of the United States.
(b) Be, or within 6 months after appointment
become and remain, a resident of the State of Nevada.
2. No member of the Legislature, no person
holding any elective office in the State Government, nor any officer or
official of any political party is eligible for appointment to the Board.
3. It is the intention of the Legislature
that the Board be composed of the most qualified persons available.
4. The Chair of the Board, who is its
Executive Director, must have at least 5 years of responsible administrative
experience in public or business administration or possess broad management
skills.
5. One member of the Board must be a
certified public accountant certified or licensed by this state or another
state of the United States or a public accountant qualified to practice public
accounting under the provisions of chapter 628 of NRS, have 5 years of progressively responsible experience in general
accounting, and have a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices
of corporate finance; or such person must possess the qualifications of an
expert in the fields of corporate finance and auditing, general finance, gaming
or economics.
6. One member of the Board must be
selected with special reference to his or her training and experience in the
fields of investigation, law enforcement, law or gaming.
