Nevada Code § 459.824

Duties of Director

The
Director shall:
1. Administer the provisions of NRS 459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive, in a manner that is
consistent with, and not more stringent than, the applicable provisions of
federal law;
2. Advise, consult and cooperate with
other agencies of the State, the Federal Government, other states, interstate
agencies and other persons in furthering the purposes of NRS 459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive;
3. Take steps necessary to qualify for,
accept and administer loans and grants from the Federal Government and other
sources, public or private, for carrying out the provisions of NRS 459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive;
4. Encourage, request, require the
Department to participate in or conduct, studies, surveys, investigations,
research, experiments, demonstrations and pilot programs by contract, grant or
other means;
5. Collect and disseminate information to
the public;
6. Hold hearings and issue subpoenas
requiring the attendance of witnesses and the production of evidence, as the
Director finds necessary to carry out the provisions of NRS 459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive;
7. Exercise all powers necessary to carry
out the provisions of NRS 459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive; and
8. Delegate to the Division any of the
Directors powers or duties set forth in NRS
459.800 to 459.856 , inclusive.
