As used in NRS 449.450 to 449.530 , inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. Admitted health insurer means an insurer authorized to transact health insurance in this State under a certificate of authority issued by the Commissioner of Insurance. 2. Authority means the Nevada Health Authority. 3. Director means the Director of the Authority. 4. Institution means any person, place, building or agency which maintains and operates facilities for the diagnosis, care and treatment of human illness and provides beds for inpatient care. The term includes but is not limited to hospitals, convalescent care facilities, nursing care facilities, detoxification centers and all specialized medical health care facilities.
