Nevada Code § 449.4445

Legislative findings and declaration concerning oversight of surgical centers for ambulatory patients

The
Legislature finds and declares that:
1. This State has a compelling interest in
assuring that residents of this State have access to health care;
2. Surgical centers for ambulatory
patients play an important role in providing essential health care services and
have become a critical element in the delivery of health care in this State;
and
3. A license issued by this State to
operate a surgical center for ambulatory patients pursuant to this chapter
should be accompanied by oversight by the agency issuing the license.
